"Training Believers to Transform the World"
Jesus gave us our mission: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:18-19 (NIV). In fact, this is Jesus' "Great Commission."
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who will make disciples of Jesus Christ. Consequently, we have a clear and simple process for people to follow:
Worship:
"Growing Warmer Through Worship"
Our first purpose as a church is to worship God. He designed us to experience his love by worshiping Him. The Psalmist said; "Declare His glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." Psalm 96:3. Jesus said; "Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" (Mark 12:30). God delights in communing with His people.
Fellowship:
"More Caring through Community"
Our second purpose as a church is to Care or one another.
Jesus said; "The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment greater than these" (Mark 12:31 NIV). We seek to deepen our fellowship with God and with one another through small group settings.
Serving:
Finding Significance Through Serving
Our third purpose as a church is to serve the Lord in the church, as well as serve the community, and the world outside the church. Jesus said; "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for the many" (Mark 10:45 NIV). We find significance in life when we are part of something greater than ourselves. Being Jesus' followers, we discover we have been given spiritual gifts to serve one another in the church. At the same time, Jesus gave us the Great Commission "to go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:18-20). We are challenged to go into the world and proclaim the "Good News of Jesus Christ."
